Eek! A year! Oh my, where has the time gone!

So it's been a year since I last updated this page too.  In the last year we have moved to Virginia and Anna started third grade here.  She isn't too gung ho about her new school, but we try to keep her busy.  She is in Girl Scouts (Brownies) now and loves it.  She has Activity Days and there is some overlap of friends from the two groups.  Twice a week Anna goes to gymnastics now and also twice a week she goes to Tae kwon Do.

 This month we discovered that Anna is nearsighted.  So here she is in one of her cute pair of glasses.

 Anna was posing as serious as she could.  Which wasn't too serious at the time!

 Anna went with her Activity Days group to Mt. Vernon on Presidents day.  The view of the Potomac is incredible and Anna had a blast!

Now, I know one is supposed to be happy at the carnival, so umm...hmmm...

I took several pictures of the Strawberry going around, yet this was the only one I caught with Anna in it!

What a sweet girl! First she chases down Ella to go to the car, then she poses for me. lol Note how her hair is straight. Once I straighten it for her it takes forever for her to let it go curly again. She absolutely loves it the way it is here in the picture!

Then we have the capture of Ella! Silly girl, she loves her big sister but doesn't like being caught!

Anna's recital

Anna's recital was on 12 March 2010. She did so great! They played five songs and then Anna was the only one to sing a solo. She sang "Simple Gifts", the Copland version and did great! Everyone else did violin solos and some of hte more advanced kids played beautifully! The director thought Anna was very talented vocally, which is why she sang instead.
The girl Anna is talking to here is Karen, sho is also her primary teacher. Anna just adores her.I just love technology! This is a snapshot from during one of the songs. I'll post the videos as soon as I figure out how!..lol

Anna;s 1st Grade Science Fair

I was so grateful this year that Anna's class did a class project on weather instead of doing indivual projects for the science fair! Whew! She was so cute showing us everything there when Dave and I came by with the little ones for the presentation time.
